Your conservatory is made of the highest quality materials but does not mean you can neglect it. A little bit of spring-cleaning, particularly after a hard winter, will maintain your new room and ensure it is in peak condition.
1. Check all external timbers for signs of fading and deterioration. They should be re-stained every three to four years with a water-based microporous stain.
2. Each year lubricate window hinges, door hinges and locks with a 'three-in-one oil' to ensure smooth operation.
3. Tighten window hinges if required by adjusting the brass screw head on the friction stay hinge.
4. Clean all brassware using a soft clean cloth.
5. Clear the conservatory rones of all leaves and debris.
6. Ensure all drainage holes in the window frames and the weatherbar at the door threshold (if inward opening door) are clear.
7. Wash down the roof regularly using warm, soapy water.
8. Enjoy.
