Every one of our conservatories is unique. Nothing illustrates this better than the latest addition to this beautiful period property. The owners had long wanted to build a conservatory but were concerned about matching the original shell based pointing on the house as this is a material which is not easily available nowadays.

Opening up the gable wall on the West side of the property created a natural linkage between the snug room, the lounge and the new conservatory. From here the views of the garden are simply superb and are enhanced by a wrought iron arch and steps leading down to the garden's pond.

The interior is soft and glowing. We were able to maximise the amount of light coming in with a glass roof and additional fanlights to echo the architectural style of the house. Terracotta floor tiles and bright furnishings are set off by dark stained timber finishes which match the colour of the woodwork in the rest of the house.

And the final twist? Our builders collected shells from the beach nearby which were then crushed to make a shell based pointing identical to the original pointing used when the property was built over a hundred years ago.
